Guided Tours of Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park are available by appointment April 1st to October 31st, 7am to sunset. Tour groups can arrive from the East in Poughkeepsie or from the West in Highland. A $100 donation per bus is recommended. Tours last approximately one hour and can be customized in their length and focus areas. All proceeds benefit Walkway Over the Hudson, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.

Tours are led by trained Walkway Ambassadors who are knowledgeable about the Walkway's construction, history, reconstruction, the State Historic Park, the Hudson River, and the areas surrounding the park.

Highlights of the tour include:

• Walking 212 feet above the Hudson River across a majestically transformed former railroad bridge
• Learning about history and the surrounding area
• Viewing interpretive signage and historic photos
• Enjoyment of the Hudson Valley's breathtaking river and mountain views, fresh air and scenic vistas
