Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park was created in large part due to partnerships between public and private organizations that shared a common vision. This unique collaboration between government agencies, private foundations, businesses, nonprofits and individuals forged powerful alliances that continue to this day. The groups that once worked so effectively to transform the former Poughkeepsie-Highland Railroad Bridge into the world's longest elevated pedestrian park now work together to manage and improve the Walkway in many critical ways.
